Renaissance Lutes Luthier

I love to handcraft renaissance inspired lutes for my clients. Since starting out as a musical instrument maker, I knew I would always specialise within historical times, taking their designs and style whilst creating an instrument that is completely playable today. In particular, for renaissance lutes, I will often use anywhere from 6-7 different types of wood. Not only does this create a stunning finish, but it also ensures superb functionality of the lute. Whether that’s dark cherry wood through to figured sycamore, I know you won’t be disappointed with coming to me as your renaissance lutes luthier!

I will be able to build from the ground up, your lute to make sure it looks how you want it to, taking full inspiration from the renaissance period.
