Latest Project – Bespoke Vihuela Instrument

It’s been an exciting time here at my workshop! I have been working on creating a completely bespoke vihuela instrument for one of my customers and it has been a project I have thoroughly enjoyed throughout. We have based the designs of the instrument on an original in Quito, Ecuador from around the year 1600. The vihuela I have created for my customer is a slightly scaled down version of the original design with some of my own design takes including customer requests. I have say, I am extremely proud of the end result as is the customer.

Each instruction I take from my customers for a new instrument receives the same level of care, attention and detail. Right down to chopping and selecting wood through to design, to create an early aged instrument with the WOW factor that can be played and enjoyed for many years to come. I have also uploaded a couple of images of this vihuela to help show you exactly what I have created from workshop for my client.
