Irish Harp Luthier

The harp has to be one of my favourite instruments. Not only does it look beautiful, but the sound (when played well), is also simply stunning. This goes for harps of any age, but I have a particular fondness for period Irish harps. To handcraft musical instruments, you have to have a real passion for it. Especially for instruments that replicate those of old, as they often had intricate designs included. I love every part of the process. From hand-selecting the wood to use, through to carving, adding designs and stringing, there is a satisfaction throughout every stage. I have uploaded a number of images on to my website for some of my previous creations to help give you a great idea of what you can expect from me.
